Presumed Innocent TV Series debuts on Apple TV
Jake Gyllenhaal stars in the highly anticipated thriller
Based on Scott Turow's best-selling novel, the series tells the story of a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys Office
Presumed Innocent, an eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal, will make its global debut on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Based on Scott Turow's best-selling 1987 novel, the series tells the story of a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys Office when one of its own is suspected of the crime.
Gyllenhaal stars as Rusty Sabich, Chicago's chief deputy prosecutor, who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his colleague and former lover, Carolyn Polhemus (Ruth Negga). As the investigation unfolds, Rusty is forced to fight for his innocence while also trying to uncover the truth about what really happened.
The series also stars Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, and Cherry Jones. It is written and executive produced by David E. Kelley, who previously created such hit shows as Big Little Lies, The Undoing, and Nine Perfect Strangers.
